Hello all,

I need help in setting up the Info search path in Emacs. I've added the
path I need to the INFOPATH env and restarted Emacs, but still it can't
find the files I need. I was desperate to copy these files into the
.../emacs/info directory, but it is still not working: I use
 C-h i m autoconf

Please point me to the thing I missed.

Aleksandr.

You have to create a `dir' file as well, which is most easily done with
`install-info'.

See (info "(texinfo) Installing an Info File") .
