I have the following problem with Emacs and Aspell (I have a RedHat
7.1):

i installed the Italian dictionary in the right directory, the one
which contains the other dictionaries, but Emacs 20 can't see the
dictionary.

When I issue the command M-x ispell-change-dictionary i can't find
the
italian dictionary in the list of dictionaries, but in the list
there are a lot of dictionaries that are not really installed.
So, i guess, the problem must be that i have to tell Emacs that the
italian dictionary is installed (and, perhaps, where it is intalled),
but i don't know how to do it.

Should i change the value of the ispell-dictionary-alist variable?
How can i do it?

Please help me to solve this big problem so i can spellcheck my text
files. Thank you.
