I don't use posteo, but I think the following snippets should get you
going:
--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
;; ~/.gnus
(setq gnus-parameters
'((".*"
(posting-style
(name "gfp")
(address "gottfried@posteo.de")
;; ("X-Message-SMTP-Method" "smtp posteo.de 465")
))))
(setq message-send-mail-function 'smtpmail-send-it
smtpmail-smtp-server "posteo.de"
smtpmail-smtp-service 465)
;; ~/.authinfo
machine posteo.de port 465 login gottfried@posteo.de password PASSWORD
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---
Note that I like to use `gnus-parameters' as one-stop shop for setting
all parameters for my groups, incl. the posting style.
Best, Arash
