* [Q] edit keymap?

there is an annoyance that I would like to end, which I think involves
keymap editing above and beyond my level of competence.  the situation
is this.

if a user who is registered in the bbdb database changes address, Emacs
asks me how bbdb should react to the change.  if I hit SPACE, which is
the default behavior in browsing newsgroups, Emacs asks me to save the
message buffer.  I don't want any of that.  

how can I make Emacs lose this particular behavior?  I would prefer it
if bbdb just asks "please answer yes or no" rahter than its current behavior.
