As I said, it's probably pretty easy to write such a thing. If you like the idea, why don't you try? You can call `insert-file-contents` several times in the same buffer to insert the various files's contents. Then you need to keep track of where is the separation between each file (probably using one overlay or marker per file), and then use a hook like `write-contents-functions` to do the save "by hand".
