AFAICT this is not needed for the toggle to be available in `emacs -nw`, but admittedly in my test the toggle is currently displayed (in my xterm) as something I'm unable to recognize. This said, I don't think I'd recognize "X" or "O" is indicating that this is the place to toggle the visibility either. Stefan
