Warning: desktop file appears to be in use by PID 1568.
Using it may cause conflicts. Use it anyway? (y or n)
Quit [4 times]
Mark saved where search started [2 times]
Happens every time.
Seems to cause no problems, though.
Just a bit strange.
David

That means that Emacs finds a file .emacs.desktop.lock, which
indicates that another instance of Emacs is running. In theory, that
file should be deleted when the given instance exits.

Always PID 1568, or a new one each time?

That's quite old. Could you try with a more recent build? You can
download the newest pretest of Emacs 23 from
http://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/pretest/windows/

Well, that's "NTemacs". I guess I'll have to track down whoever
maintains that and see what he/she can do...

What do you mean, that it is "NTemacs"? As far as I know, NTemacs is
just a name for the (official) Windows port.

I don't understand. Are you unable or unwilling to try the pretest
build that I suggested?
