Am using NTemacs: GNU Emacs 23.0.0.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2007-08-18 on TPAD)
| Drawing with the mouse:
|
| mouse-2
| shift mouse-2 Pops up a menu where you can select what to draw with
| mouse-1, and where you can do some settings (described
| below).
|
| mouse-1
| shift mouse-1 Draws lines, rectangles or poly-lines, erases, cuts, copies
| or pastes:
|
So I try mouse-2, but it does NOT spring-up a menu.
Nor does shift--mouse-2.
What do you suppose my problem is?
Thanks!
David

Well, that's hard to diagnose, I can see a menu on my GNU Emacs
23.0.91.1 under Linux. Just to be sure: mouse-2 is supposed to be the
middle mouse button, with wheeled mice this usually means pressing the
wheel.
Before you file a bug report you should definitely try a newer version
of Emacs. Emacs 23 has entered pretest, you can get the official
binaries for windows here:
http://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/pretest/windows/
If the problem persists, M-x report-emacs-bug is your friend.
All the best,
Anselm

THANK YOU!
Pressing the wheel does the trick!

I'm using NTemacs (on wife's XP), and M-x version says:
GNU Emacs 23.0.0.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2007-08-18 on TPAD
Right now I'm limited to NTemacs -- but when my blade-100
gets back up, I'll grab that other one.
