I would like to start my compilation in one directory deeper than the
current. Unfortunately, a local variable specification as

% -*- ... compile-directory: (concat default-directory ".."); ... -*-

is not working. Does anyone has an idea (except adding "cd.." to the
compile command)?

Stephan
