Does that address what is wrong though?

I have:

** Pub Quiz 
   - Note taken on [2008-08-26 Tue 09:59] \\
     do questions!
   <2008-03-25 21:30 +1w>


And it shows up every tuesday.

(note for birthdays I use the bbdb anniversary field and org-bbdb)
