I would like to make short lists on A7 format, but print the lists on
A4 and then cut the page to the different lists. Is there an easy way
to do this in Emacs?

Yes. In buffers. On the command line psnup, a2ps, GNU enscript allow  
such things. And LaTeX has means ...
