Subject: Setting default fonts slows down emacs
Date: Sun, 29 Oct 2006 17:47:04 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <ei2lu3$5mr$1@news.net.uni-c.dk> (raw)
I have this in my .emacs file:
(set-default-font "-adobe-courier-medium-r-normal-*-14-*-*-*-*-*-*-*")
But it take 10-15 seconds longer than normal to start up because of this
line.
Why does emacs performance gets reduced when setting another default font?
