Thanks to all who answered.

I reported the problem (if we leave open whether it's a "bug") to bug-
gnu-emacs@gnu.org.

Adding  '(warning-suppress-types (quote ((undo discard-info)))) to
custom-set-variables actually works. Thanks for the tip.
