i have a setup that i use daily for rails development that involves
splitting up my frame into a bunch of windows, then loading each frame
with different buffers..
i would like to be able to save this whole layout so that i can open
it each day without having to rebuild it..
i have tried desktop-save, and this gets close, as it remembers all my
files and buffer.. but it doesn't do windows splits..
does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
thanks!

Try to use windows.el and revive.el.
Them can save your window layout before exit, and restore it when your
startup.
