Hi,

if I remember correctly it is possible to embed formating directives like e.g. tab stops etc inside the edited source file. For example if the source file is C you can write something like 

/* format goes here ... */

Does anybody know where this is documented or how this feature is called?

"file variables" was the term I was looking for.
