Even using the exact cmd I saw here yesterday or so, where someone said: I downloaded the emacs sources with cvs -z3 -d:ext:anoncvs@savannah.gnu.org:/cvsroot/emacs co emacs Is it possible for *someone* to stick one up on a "normal" web-site, no fancy access needed, just a simple download? (of, say, a .bz2?) Plus, for security, posting some kind of checksum *HERE*, among friends, to catch hacks to it. Would be wonderful for those limited to shell-acct access to the web. Thanks! David
