Just a > thought. Consider filing a bug report: `M-x report-emacs-bug'. For a starter, the doc string of `dired-jump' says what happens if "in a fi= le" or "in Dired", but not what happens otherwise. Looking at the `dired-jump' code (from a recent 24 Dev snapshot), it seems = that `default-directory' is used for the otherwise case. That should at le= ast be documented.
