Subject: Emacs saves old version of files when there are CVS KEYWORDS!?! HOW STOP???
Date: 3 Sep 2003 21:24:06 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bf23f78f.0309032024.1d86f107@posting.google.com> (raw)
I added $Date$ to my files. This is a CVS keyword to give date of last
version of file.
Emacs insists on saving old version of my files if it sees $Date$.
How stop this???
Here is an example...
(home /home/seberino/MAIN/PyGnuma) % ls -l e*
-rwxrwxr-x 1 seberino seberino 7274 Sep 3 21:16 expression.py
-rwxrwxr-x 1 seberino seberino 7157 Sep 3 21:03 expression.py.~1.17.~
