Not with that KEY argument to `global-set-key'.
You can bind your function to a legitimate KEY value.
(global-set-key (kbd "<f2> x") 'myfunction)
You need to read up on key bindings. Start with
`C-h r key bindings', which takes you here, but
in Emacs:
