Subject: Wrong type argument: characterp... Everywhere
Date: Tue, 19 May 2009 02:08:36 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <b02ebe020905182308w756900bcn9a2e0fba2e128e51@mail.gmail.com> (raw)

I recently installed Emacs 23 after uninstalling and older version and
starting from scratch, from here
http://ourcomments.org/cgi-bin/emacsw32-dl-latest.pl and have been
getting strange errors when loading up extensions.

For example if I try to setup msf-abbrev I get this error when I startup:

Wrong type argument: characterp, 134217869

Now I thought that maybe I wasn't setting it up right, or that it
didn't support Emacs 23. But I also tried installing packages from
ELPA (http://tromey.com/elpa/install.html) and with some of them I get
characterp errors as well,

Any idea on what's goin on? Some things work and some do not. This is
the version/system info:

This is GNU Emacs 23.0.93.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600)
 of 2009-05-09 on LENNART-69DE564 (patched)

Running on an XP SP3 machine.
