You could find a library by using {M-x find-library RET rx RET} 2. Once you find a library you could find the working directory: {M-x find-library RET rx RET M-x pwd RET} and if working directory is in original Emacs working directory then file most probably is part of Emacs. -- Jean Take action in Free Software Foundation campaigns: https://www.fsf.org/campaigns In support of Richard M.
