pdf-tools package author says this is in his todo list but still he
didn't implemented
look at this issue:
https://github.com/politza/pdf-tools/issues/81
for know I don't know any method that work.
BTW are using pdf-tools or doc-view or other thing?

It should be pointed out that this repository seem to have been
abandoned, and the work on pdf-tools appears to be continuing here:
https://github.com/vedang/pdf-tools.
