Hi everyone,

When I start a shell in Emacs with `M-x shell' I get the prompt

    ^[[0;34m[august ~]$ ^[[0m

instead of

    [august ~]$

The value of the PS1 environment variable in ~/.bashrc is

    export PS1="\[\033[0;34m\][\u \W]\$ \[\e[0m\]"

Any clues?

August
