Many years ago I ran Slackware on a 486 with 16M of RAM, including X and fvwm. Just recently I set up a RH7.2 box running X, fvwm2, apache, Twiki, and other, more standard services with just 64M of RAM. = ... -- AMD crashes? See http://cleveland.lug.net/~ken/amd-problem/.
