Hi there,

I'm trying to install the PMD plugin* for emacs (a toold for analyzing
java source code). My sys admin already put the pmd.el and pmd.elc on
emacs, but I need to set up my .emacs file. I don't have one in my home
directory, so I tried making one like so:

--- Begin .emacs ------------------------------------
(require 'pmd)

(set-pmd-java "/usr/local/j2sdk1.4.1_02/bin/java")
(set-pmd-home "/usr/local/pmd")
(set-pmd-rulesets "/usr/local/pmd")--
--- End .emacs ------------------------------------

However, I keep getting the error, "Error in init file: Symbol's
function definition is void". I've tried different formats, etc. but
it's not helping. Can anyobdy offer any advice?

Yes, I've read (and am still reading) the manual ;-)

- Best regards,
   Michelle
