It can also be that your init file(s) are provoking = the error. Launching it with -q or -Q might render it usable! If not, then kill it and make distclean, update again, configure again, = compile again, and launch GNU Emacs again. You can also play with = configure options, use a different compiler or different compiler = options. If you develop GNU Emacs 24.3.50 in your GNU Emacs 23(.4?), you = will have a readable log from the configure step (in the *compilation* = buffer from M-x compile RET ./configure =E2=80=A6 RET) and possibly find = findings which configure should not have found.
