You can put entries in your ~/.Xresources file like this:
Emacs.font: -*-terminus-medium-r-*--14-*-*-*-*-*-iso10646-1
Emacs*menubar*Font: -*-terminus-bold-r-*--14-*-*-*-*-*-iso10646-1
(These changes will take effect on the next start ot X11, if you do not
use xrdb to apply then on a running X11.)
