Hello!

Have installed emacs using the source code on Debian machine. The install
went smoothly, however, when I try and run emacs I get the following error:

Emacs: Cannot open termcap database file.

I googled for a solution, but could not find anything useful. I installed
ncurses from source too.

Please advise.

Amar Patel

I'm rather loathe to complain, but would you _please_ switch off your
junk generator. The content of your post is about 23 lines. Your
Microsoft program has added over 100 lines of trash to this, fascinating
lines like

> <p class=3DMsoNormal><font size=3D2 face=3DArial><span =>

Are you aware that you have written this line 10 times in your post? Who
gives a monkey's what your program thinks the font size or the face
should be?

Please, please, please - if you are posting to the newsgroup or the
mailing list, use PLAIN TEXT ONLY.

Thanks in advance!

Email: aacm@muuc.dee; to decode, wherever there is a repeated letter
(like "aa"), remove half of them (leaving, say, "a").
