The GPL even refers to this in its exception for components that are included with the OS or compiler. I'm not saying it is unacceptable to use Emacs under Aqua, I'm saying that it isn't "better". The OP was asking for help with X11, and it seems inappropriate to suggest a nonfree replacement. "don't imply that the proprietary program enhances your program, or that its existence is in any way a good thing."
