Hi all,
    I try to understand some source code which use the symbol "$":

(car (ein:$notebook-scratchsheets notebook))

What does "$" do in the above lisp expression? Thanks.

Nothing particular. $ can be part of a valid symbol.

(let (($a$ 40))
  (+ $a$ 2))
=> 42
