Is there a way to make Emacs tab bars (presumably via tabbar.el)
behave like they do in nearly every other app?
The desired behavior is that the only tabs that exist are ones you
explicitly open, and the window-configurations they represent never
change unless you change them.
The existing behavior is that, by default, tabs correspond to some
dynamic "groups" that you setup. As you move between group-types, the
tab list changes, and as buffers come and go, the tab list
grows/shrinks. This is very unconventional compared to most other apps
with tabs.
Is there a way to get the desired behavior in emacs?
