Hi Thierry,

Ok, I got the latest cvs tarball from
http://cvs.namazu.org/emacs-w3m.tar.gz and untarred it. It does not
have a configure script, so I executed autoconf (as instructed in the
README) and ran configure again to end up with a cryptic error
message:

$ cd elisp/emacs-w3m/
$ ./configure
./configure: command not found
$ autoconf
$ ./configure
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking for makeinfo... makeinfo
checking for texi2dvi... texi2dvi
checking for ptex... false
checking for jbibtex... false
checking for dvipdfmx... false
checking for texi2pdf... texi2pdf
checking for egrep... egrep
checking for emacs... /usr/bin/emacs
checking what a flavor does /usr/bin/emacs have... cat:
./conftest-27598: No such file or directory

configure: error:  is not supported.
$

So I'm afraid I'd need some more assistance and advice! I do hope to
end up with a working emacs-w3m!

TIA, Guivho.
