Subject: RE: EShell questions - one more re grep?

Message-ID: <A35A461EBB6BD511859E0002A56B89CC01CDBE82@EXCORP03.corp.erac.com> (raw)

How do I get the Emacs grep function to use eshell's grep? In other words,
if I do M-x grep, I want it to use Eshell's grep (because I don't have
another grep right now.)

Thanks!

Subject: EShell questions

1. What's the closest thing to the Unix 'find' utility in EShell? I'm
looking for something that will find a bunch of files, and then run a
command on them, like 'find . -name '*~' -exec rm -f {} \;'.

2. Is there an equivalent to xargs?

3. How to I get help on eshell commands? 'cp --help', 'cp -h', etc. didn't
seem to work.

4. Eshell is great, and I found the home page. How do I get more
information on it? Is there a mailing list?

Thanks
