Dear GNU Help,

How do I customize Emacs so that when editing a C++ file the indentation
of for loops, etc., will be 3 spaces instead of the default of 2 spaces?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Add the line

(add-hook 'c++-mode-hook '(lambda () (setq c-basic-offset 3)))
