1. Customize the variable "calendar-holidays" to make sure all the
missing holidays are there. I personally do this for my local
Canadian holidays.
2. If you have included diary entries in your agenda view (see the
variable "org-agenda-include-diary"), then everything will happen
automatically. If not, add:

| #+CATEGORY: Holiday
| %%(org-calendar-holiday) ; special function for holiday names
`----
to one of your agenda files. Please see section 10.3.1 of the
org-mode manual for details.
