After over 4 years, I'm back doing some Oracle PL/SQL (it pays the bills!). I'm
using plsql.el from the emacs wiki site. However, this package has not been
maintained. I sent some bug fixes to the author some years back, but they have
never made it into the source.
Anyway, I seem to remember some other posts from people using PL/SQL fairly
recently and just wanted to find out what people are using. The mode from the
emacs wiki site is reasonably functional, but thought I'd just find out if
anyone else is using something different which may be better (the mode has some
indent issues and you cannot easily customize indent style etc). However, it
does integrate with the fine sql mode that is bundled with emacs and provides a
pretty good integration with sqlplus etc.
I'm really just interested in knowing what packages and customizations people
may be willing to share for working with PL/SQL. Now that I've worked out how
to install Oracle 10g on a Debian system, I can work on getting my emacs dev
environment sorted.
thanks,
Tim
