I'm subscribed to a handful of Emacs related mailing lists which have
gone dead. Their gmane equivalents are similarly silent. I can't
traceroute to mail.gnu.org, nor visit its web archives (from a couple
of different networks). Does anyone know what is up?

It wasn't fixed when I posted to gnu.emacs.help. I managed to notice
when it became fixed when I started receiving the mailing lists again.
