I use emacs-w3m, it's an Emacs interface to the w3m pager, with a lot
of added bonuses:
- integration with Gnus to render HTML mail
- lynx-like or info-like maps
- interface to popular search engines (also via quick urls)
- it can display images (if Emacs can)
- bookmarks, tabs, favicons, etc...

It's also fast and lightweight. I use it for all my web-browsing
needs, it's definitely worth checking out!
