Hi all,

I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 on x86-64.

I've just tried to get Emacs 27.0.91 on my machine. It builds and runs
as is to be expected, it's just when I try to do `checkinstall' (as I
normally do to install Emacs as a package) it gets someway through the
process and then fails (see the end of this mail).

Build commands:
./configure --without-compress-install
make
sudo checkinstall make install

Thanks,
Jordan.

Why on earth does it try to build 'blessmail'??

No idea. But removing

blessmail: Makefile src
        $(MAKE) -C lib-src maybe-blessmail

from the Makefile solves my issue.

Could it be something wrong with the tarball?
