That would indeed be useful.

The example is missing a quote and is closing one more bracket than it
should.  Also I could not find `nntp-stream' and `nntp-server-port' in
(info "gnus"); and in my configuration I actually use `nntp-port-number'
and `nntp-open-connection-function' set to `nntp-open-ssl-stream'.

     (setq gnus-secondary-select-methods
         '(nntp "news.gmane.org"
                (nntp-open-connection-function nntp-open-ssl-stream)
                (nntp-port-number 563)))
