Some websites I use, mainly through Gnus, happen to sometimes be down. This is not a problem when I use `g' in Gnus, as I can cancel the process by hitting C-g. However, with the gnus-demon, this retrieval is not cancelable, and, worst, get my Emacs stuck. For example, the following can cause Emacs to not respond: (run-with-timer 1 nil (lambda () (url-retrieve "http://20minutes.fr" 'ignore))) if 20minutes.fr does not respond. Is there a (even Q&D) solution ? =2D-=20 /!\ My mail address changed, please update your files accordingly. | Micha=EBl `Micha' Cadilhac | Pour les 35-40 ans, l'humour = | | Epita/LRDE Promo 2007 | c'est une plus-value. = | | http://michael.cadilhac.name | -- Guillaume L. = | `-- - JID: micha@amessage.be --' - -= -' --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFFNf+eUJhDmOfFA3URAuvTAKDKu3h9h0PfLL0i9PL3ECaWZ6isLQCg0le/ DyrBI9CMu7PJWGUHx4GGjQE= =Ce3d -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=-- --===============0440334371== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline _______________________________________________ help-gnu-emacs mailing list help-gnu-emacs@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/help-gnu-emacs --===============0440334371==--
