   Can I expect any conflicts?

is there conflict when surfers surf,
toes curled, teeth bared, weight on edge?
is there conflict when turfers turf,
hoes furled, roots spared, feted hedge?

what changes how?  how changes what?
normal forces break falls from ledge.
who stays still?  still, who stays?
orthogonality brooks no wedge.
