Read the code of rx.

(format "%S" (rx bol "foo_" (+ word) eol))
=> "\"^foo_[[:word:]]+$\""

(format "%S" (rx-to-string '(and bol "foo_" (+ word) eol) t))
=> "\"^foo_[[:word:]]+$\""
