Subject: info dir messed up

Hello all,
Using emacs-cvs; My /usr/shar/info directory looks like that:
-a lot of *info.gz files, but some are missing like emacs
-three emacs directories :
emacs-21, with only an old dir file in it
emacs-21.3.50, with only an old dir file in it
emacs-22.0.50, with many files, including the emacs manual, some of which
are also present in the info dir, probably in another version.
In the info dir as well as in each of the emacs dirs there is a dir file,
not listing the same files of course!
My emacs does not see the files in emacs-22.0.50.
Why is that? Is it just a bug in emacs-cvs?
Is there a simple way to fix all that (of course if not I will do it by
hand)?
tia,
