Thanks. I changed it to:
    (defun dcbl-buffer-to-temp ()
      (interactive)
      (let ((buffer-name (generate-new-buffer-name "tempory-edit"))
            (text        (buffer-substring (point-min) (point-max))))
        (switch-to-buffer buffer-name)
        (insert text)))
