The most bodily comfortable hackers are the best for several reasons. To mechanics, arborists and so on it is obvious so they put their minds to it day one. To computer users and professionals (paycheck or not) it isn't as obvious. How many books on programming don't mention it with one word? But it is equally important. > Does anyone here know why the Ibus input method > doesn't work with Emacs? I used Emacs for a period > a few years back and I remember that it did work at > that point. You can either try to synch them all into the same with a jungle of config files, *or* just bring it all into Emacs. It is 50/50 what transition will bring success the fastest. I know what I would do... :) I suppose you could ask the Ibus people if they have a mailing list. There is no mention of "Ibus" on the Gmane server (NNTP, news.gmane.org) - that isn't a good sign, but who knows? If you do find them and do ask them, it would be humorous if they told you to ask the Emacs people :) -- underground experts united http://user.it.uu.se/~embe8573
