Hello I am trying to set up gnu with a password username usenet account I understand that I have to edit the authinfo file but do not know how to edit this file or were it is located. Any help would be appreciated.

On the home directory of my GNU/Linux box there is an .authinfo file
with lines like this:
machine some.server.org login myusername password mypassword
Replace "some.server.org", "myusername" and "mypassword" with your
settings.
