How many Emacs blogs are there?
Well, you can't use `how-many' for that, but what about
Emacs-w3m and `count-region' on this page
https://planet.emacslife.com/
?
228!
Wow, that many? :O

The better question is how many decent Emacs configs are there to rip from, and there are quite a few.
Anyone interested can check out my webring on my site for the Emacs section, as I have all the key players of the Emacs community's configs linked:

Hm, if there are 228 blogs, can't or shouldn't we have
a metablog with say the most read Emacs blog post every week
(maybe with some sort of "catch up" system to prevent the same
blog from winning all the time), the most commented post and
so on ...
100% fair competition - by definition, since it is
parameterized.
And a first-stop for anyone into this kind of Emacs
material.

Please, how do I use Emacs-w3m? Where is that?
Is it better than eww?

Never have used it, but looks pretty neat:
https://emacs-w3m.github.io/
I mention it because I used to use 'w3m' a ton because w3m when tweaked is glorious, especially with the plugins from Surfraw, would recommend to check out the entire playlist if you've never tweaked it before, totally worth it:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqv94xWU9zZ35Yv0s6zMID5JoS8qu19Kh
If anyone could figure out if emacs-w3m, or if eww comes close to a tweaked w3m setup, let me know, as I'd be interested.

It appears you don't use constant content-IDs? The link you mention
here is "broken", in that sense that it doesn't send me to the right
anchor (now #org7fe47b7), probably because you re-exported the document.
I didn't compare the two extensively, but my old configuration also had
a list of configurations that I found interesting, that you might find
worth adding (if I even mention any you don't):

I click on antenna, and nothing, maybe author has antenna connected to
Emacs. 🤓 It has distinctive representation, it is to me more readable
then eww. Though I cannot remove the tabs created by emacs-w3m.

From MELPA:
Package w3m is installed.
Status: Installed in ‘w3m-20211122.335/’ (unsigned). [Delete]
Version: 20211122.335
Commit: 6112c6a9e13c00c2c7aecd96820a46b4800d4cda
Summary: an Emacs interface to w3m
Keywords: [w3m] [www] [hypermedia]
Other versions: 20211122.335 (melpa).
Emacs-w3m is an Emacs interface to the w3m program. For more
detail about w3m, see:
http://w3m.sourceforge.net/
You can also read this:
https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/emacs-w3m
> Is it better than eww?
It is older and uses an external process (which runs w3m(1))
so that should make it very robust since it relies on that to
do the heavy lifting, itself just the Emacs interface (tho an
elaborate one). And this reliance on w3m, a C program,
probably makes it (Emacs-w3m) faster than anything "just
Elisp" ...

They are called buffers in the Emacs-w3m world, see

If its an interface for 'w3m' does that mean it pulls its configuration from ~/.w3m?
I ask this because I had a pretty nicely customized w3m, and wondered if I could carry this over. Curious if anyone else configured it like this.

Okay, remember tho you don't type in that mode so there are
a lot of keys available ... I only do 'w' for that.

I don't think so.

You can, well, most likely, if they apply.
But I think you have to carry it over manually by setting up
the corresponding Elisp options ... What options are they if
it isn't a secret? I can help, maybe.
w3m-init-file is a variable defined in ‘w3m.el’.
Its value is "~/.emacs-w3m"
Your emacs-w3m startup file name. If a file with the ‘.el’
or ‘.elc’ suffixes exists, it will be read instead.
Nil means no init file will be loaded.
Note: This file is used as the startup configuration *NOT*
for the w3m command but for emacs-w3m. In order to modify
configurations for the w3m command, edit the file named
"~/.w3m/config" normally.

You can confirm this by asking at emacs-w3m@namazu.org (or
with Gnus/Gmane "equivalently plus" gmane.emacs.w3m) -
I crosspost this there and add a Followup-To there as well
since it belongs there, really, or even more so I should say.
Because it is an interesting question! But also one that can
be answered just by testing ...
Still, maybe `w3m-init-file' should provide the answer?

~/.w3m/config
Ah cool, yeah if I remember correctly that does seem like the config file.
I only mention it because I went through all of Gotbletu's videos (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqv94xWU9zZ35Yv0s6zMID5JoS8qu19Kh) on how to configure it, and a configured w3m is a dream to use.
You can use 'surfraw' based search engines without ever touching the JS required for the sites themselves. its really neat.
Will have to give this a go sometime.

I use Emacs-w3m all the time and it is great for this style,
I happen to know other people have other styles so for them
I would recommend other browsers :)
