Does any of you know why despite setting newsticker-retrieval-interval to zero, the sentence (NEED UPDATE) occasionally appears on its own, on the mod line? Other times it appears after I execute newsticker-show-news. And other times again, it appears for half a second after executing newsticker-show-news before disappearing?! Anybody else witnessed this? Please CC my email address because I'm not currently subscribed to this list!
