Hi, as part of a little convenience function I was coding for person use, I needed to be able to pull the LINK and DESCRIPTION (if it exists) out of org link strings. It seems like there must be a simple built-in way to do this. I found org-element-link-parser which seemed like just what I needed, but it apparently does not store the DESCRIPTION in the returned link object.

I suppose I could use a regular expression match, but I'm not sure how I would deal with the possibility of escaped "]" and "[" characters inside the LINK or DESCRIPTION.
